The typical customer for my product is a college women in her 20's. This woman has medium income with some discretionary income to spend on nonessential things. Hobbies that my customer has include kayaking, swimming, and running. This customer tends to drive a Honda Accord. My customer likes to watch TV shows such as Friends, The Office, and Grey's Anatomy. This customer does not tend to have any children, but they do have a lot of friends and family. They tend to have a job with going to school full-time. They do not have much time to read books for leisure because they reading books for school is number one priority.
After creating this avatar, I would have to say that I have a lot in common with her. I am a college student in my 20's, working part-time, have similar hobbies, and watch similar shows. I do not think it is a coincidence because I am targeting college students with the same unmet need as me.
Great job! I can completely picture your Avatar customer. I have many friends who could fall into your typical avatar. You went far into the details which is what was asked in this assignment. The details you provided made me realized how much people have in common. I could easily say that most of the girls I know could fall into that segment which is a good indicator of how big your potential group of buyers is.
ReplyDeleteYour avatar is very specific and realistic. The detail about your customer's income helps to show that they might be interested in investing in alternatives to plastic. I also found that I had a lot of similarities with the avatar I created; since we made businesses based on a problem we noticed and cared about, it shouldn't be a coincidence that we can relate to our prospective customers. Overall, great job on this assignment!
ReplyDeleteI think that you did a great job in providing a detailed description of your potential customer. I felt like I would picture the woman that you were describing and could relate to a lot of the traits such as her love for Grey's Anatomy. I think its interesting that you and your avatar share a lot in common but do not find it surprising because I think we like to develop ideas that we would personally enjoy which makes sense because we are putting our passions to work.
ReplyDeleteI really got a good understanding of your prototypical customer through your custom avatar. I feel that I know a lot of people at UF that fit this description!! This makes me confident that your business has an adequate customer base that would support your solution. As I also discovered in my custom avatar, we tend to share a lot in common with our custom avatars. I believe this is because we have a desire to solve problems that we can relate too.
